The Sydney, named after Australia's largest city, is a Fedora in a quality soft felt specifically designed for this style. This is a true city hat you will enjoy wearing anywhere. In the classic Fedora shape, it has an open crown and a one inch ribbon band. It is usually worn with a simple lengthwise center crease and the front of the brim snapped down as popularized in the 1888 play "Fedora" by V. Sardou. The Squatter, a classic Australian town and country hat, takes its name from the men who took up large blocks of pastoral land in the outback under government license when Australia was first settled. Akubra has recently developed a beaver fur felt, with the Pro 30X being the first style offered. Beaver is hard to source, due to worldwide quotas, but produces one of the smoothest, most resilient felt hats in the world. The 30% beaver fur content and the Pro Rodeo brim give this fine hat its name. The pre-creased crown has a center crease with two side dents, known in the American West as a cattleman’s crease. The crown is 4-3/4 inches in the front and back and rises to 5-1/2 inches in the center. The Pro Rodeo raw edge brim is 3-3/4 inches wide, curled at the sides.    The Hemp Range Hat

Akubra's legendary quality is now available in a hemp straw hat. Hemp is one of the world's strongest fibers. The fibers are naturally resistant to mold and ultraviolet light and are extremely resistant to abrasion. Hemp straw hats are stronger than toquilla fiber Panamas, are more durable and will last longer. The crown of the Range is a pinched telescope and measures 4 inches at the front and 4-1/2 inches at the sides. The 7-pleat cloth puggaree is 1-5/8 inches wide. Vented around the crown. Hemp is one of the world's strongest fibers. The bast, which gives the plant its strength, grows between the outer bark and the woody interior of the stalk and are some of the longest in nature. Hemp requires no herbicides, pesticides or fertilizers to grow. The fibers are naturally resistant to mold and ultraviolet light and are extremely resistant to abrasion. Hemp straw hats are stronger than Panamas made of toquilla fiber, are more durable and will last longer. However, like other straw hats, we recommend that you keep it away from water.

This chin strap, hand braided in 4 strands of kangaroo leather, will ensure that you do not lose your hat to a gust of wind. The chin strap has two flat ends to attach to the hat's chin strap hooks, and a sliding knot.

This two way hat stretcher is robust and durable. Tapered blocks of fir on a turnbuckle fit against the leather sweatband to absorb moisture and maintain the hat's proper shape and size when stored.
